The Pro-Vice-Chancellor assists the Vice-Chancellor in the performance of his duties. He performs any official duty assigned to him by the Vice-Chancellor. In the absence of the Vice-Chancellor, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor acts as the academic and administrative head and chief disciplinary officer of the University.
